Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have officially entered a new chapter, exchanging vows in an intimate ceremony at their home in Cascais, Portugal, on Auguest 11, 2026. The date was meaningful for the couple, as it marks exactly ten years since the couple first met at a Gucci store in Madrid. Rather than choosing the kind of lavish celebration that might naturally be expected from one of the world’s most famous couples, they kept the ceremony close to home, choosing their own living room, surrounded by their five children.
While the ceremony was understated, Georgina Rodríguez’s jewellery certainly was not.

We all know Rodríguez’s engagement ring, which took over the internet when she announced the news. It was first revealed publicly in August 2025 and remained one of the most striking pieces of jewellery associated with their relationship. The enormous oval diamond has been widely estimated by jewellery experts to be somewhere in the range of 20-plus carats, with estimates of its value varying considerably depending on the stone’s exact characteristics.
Rather than replacing that spectacular ring with something equally elaborate for the ceremony, Rodríguez wore it alongside the new chapter of her jewellery story: her wedding band.
And the contrast could not have been more deliberate.

While her engagement ring is an unmistakable statement piece, Rodríguez and Ronaldo chose simple gold wedding bands for their vows. In photographs shared from the wedding, the minimal bands sit in striking contrast to the scale of the diamonds surrounding them.
Rodríguez’s bridal look continued the balance between simplicity and sentiment. She wore a custom white ensemble by Gucci, a particularly meaningful choice given that Gucci was where she and Ronaldo first met a decade earlier. The clean, elegant silhouette allowed her jewellery to take centre stage rather than competing with it. Ronaldo and their children also wore Gucci, making the fashion house a subtle thread connecting their first meeting to their wedding day.

Throughout the wedding day, Vogue photographed Rodríguez in a series of portraits that offered a closer look at her jewellery. Rather than featuring only the pieces worn during the ceremony, the shoot brought together several creations from Chopard’s extraordinary Garden of Kalahari collection, allowing the individual diamonds and craftsmanship to be seen in greater detail.

At the heart of the collection is the Queen of Kalahari, a 342-carat rough diamond discovered in Botswana’s Karowe mine. Chopard transformed the exceptional stone into 23 diamonds, including five stones weighing more than 20 carats. From these diamonds came the six-piece Garden of Kalahari high-jewellery set, with each major stone given its own floral inspiration. The collection combines exceptional diamond cuts with botanical forms, turning the individual stones into a jewellery garden.

The most striking piece worn by Rodríguez is the Garden of Kalahari necklace, centred around a remarkable 50-carat brilliant-cut diamond. The D-colour, Flawless stone forms the centre of a sunflower-inspired design, surrounded by an intricate arrangement of diamonds. The necklace also features detachable pendants, including a 25-carat pear-shaped diamond and a 26-carat heart-shaped diamond, allowing the design to be transformed and worn in different ways.

Those two exceptional detachable stones became Rodríguez’s earrings for the wedding shoot. The pear-shaped diamond represents the banana blossom within the Garden of Kalahari collection, while the heart-shaped diamond forms the centre of the pansy-inspired design. Worn beside one another, the two different cuts create an equally dramatic frame around Rodríguez’s face.

She also wore the collection’s cuff bracelet, featuring two emerald-cut diamonds weighing 21 carats and 14.7 carats, surrounded by additional diamonds. Its elongated emerald-cut stones give the piece a more structured appearance compared with the floral necklace.

Another standout was the 20-carat cushion-cut diamond ring, accompanied by 6.9 carats of additional diamonds. Within the Garden of Kalahari, the cushion-cut stone is associated with the collection’s poppy-inspired design, adding another shape and character to Rodríguez’s jewellery styling.
The Vogue portraits also show another Chopard ring featuring 5.7 carats of pear-shaped and marquise-cut diamonds. Smaller in scale than the 20-carat statement ring, its combination of elongated cuts adds a more delicate dimension to the overall jewellery look.
Together, the pieces create a bridal jewellery story that is almost the opposite of the ceremony itself. The wedding was intimate, held at home and centred around family, while the jewellery represented the extraordinary world of high jewellery at its most spectacular. Yet Rodríguez’s styling never feels excessive. The clean Gucci look provides a restrained backdrop, allowing the diamonds to speak for themselves.
From the engagement ring that has accompanied Rodríguez since the couple announced their engagement to the simple gold band exchanged on their wedding day and finally to the rare diamonds of Chopard’s Garden of Kalahari, each piece marks a different moment in the couple’s story. The result is a wedding jewellery look that combines sentiment, craftsmanship and exceptional stones, quiet in setting, but impossible to overlook.
