written by Su Su Rati July 3, 2020
Festival of Parades

There are many different types of parades, be it military, carnival or even flower parades. They each serve a purpose of educating people and amazing everyone in the crowd.

Here are a few of the biggest and most exciting parades around the world that you can look forward to when Covid-19 finally passed and everything clears up.

India’s Holi Festival

It is one of the most famous festival in India. It is one of the world’s most colourful parades, where it also goes by the name of “Festival of Colours”.  Streets become a battlefield where people would smear each other with coloured powder or coloured water like Thingyan. The shirts that you wear would definitely be stained with beautiful colours.

New Orleans’ Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras is one of the long parades that occurs within the span of two weeks. Collection of plastic strung beads, fake coins and other inexpensive accessories are a norm. They are normally tossed from the performers on the gigantic and amazing floats.

Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day

The Irish definitely knows how to throw a party, you can be sure that the St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin is extremely special. St. Patrick’s celebration in Dublin lasts for a week, with races, dance festivals and carnivals included.
