ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံမွာ အိမ္ေမြးတိရစာၦန္ေလးေတြ ေမြးတာက ၂၀၁၄၊ ၂၀၁၅ ခုႏွစ္ေနာက္ပုိင္းကေနစၿပီး ပိုပိုၿပီး မ်ားျပားလာပါတယ္။ အိမ္ေမြးတိရစာၦန္ဆုိ ေၾကာင္၊ ေခြး၊ ငါး၊ ၾကက္တူေရြးနဲ႔ ယုန္တို႔ကို အမ်ားဆံုးေမြးၾကျပီး အခုေနာက္ပုိင္း exotic pet ေတြေမြးတာကလည္း ပိုျပီး ေခတ္စားလာၾကပါတယ္။
Since 2014 and 2015, keeping pets at home is getting popular. Most of the pet lovers keep cats, dogs, fishes, parrots and rabbits as pet. But exotic animals as pets are also getting popular.

Burmese cats are mostly kept as pet in the country but recently; there are many exports for other species of cats such as Maine Coon Cat, Munchkin Cat, British Long Hair Cat, British Short Hair Cats.
