She born Amal Alamuddin in Beirut, Lebanon and moved to England when her family fled the Lebanese civil war. Amal was educated at Oxford and NYU Law. She defends human rights through her work as a lawyer often pro bono. Now she has taken on ISIS, representing its victims and urging the U.N to launch an investigation.
