Classical Music has been around for many years and though it may be Western culture, many have chosen the path to pursue the career of becoming a classical musician.
Classic Music can vary depending on the type of musical instrument that you may play. The types of music instruments that are involved in the traditional classical music genre are the Strings, Woodwinds, Percussions, and Brass. There will be a conductor to control the flow of the music.
Our Ti Wines (တီးဝိုင်း) are the Classical Music of Myanmar. Similar to classical music, we too have our own musical instruments that coincides with the westerners. As for our strings we have the saung (စောင်း), woodwinds as palwae (ပုလွေ), percussion as boun (ဗုံ), and brass as hne (နှဲ). The only difference is that we do not have an Asian version of the Piano.
As times pass and classical music becomes older, less people in the younger generations are willing to take up a career in these platforms. However, if there is a massive support in these areas, these musics can be once made much more popular than the current trend of music. In fact, trends always come back around.
