Performance Art ဆိုတာ အႏုပညာရွင္ရဲ႕ ရင္ထဲကေန ပြင့္အံထြက္က်လာတဲ့ ခံစားမႈေတြကိုေဖာ္ထုတ္တင္ဆက္တဲ့ အႏုပညာအမ်ိဳးအစားတစ္ခုျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ အႏုပညာဖန္တီးမႈေတြအေပၚ လူတစ္စုရဲ႕ ေစ်းကြက္ကစားမႈ၊ အသံုးခ်ခံရမႈေတြကို စက္ဆုပ္ရြံရွာၿပီး ေတာ္လွန္ေျပာင္းလဲထားတဲ့ အႏုပညာေတာ္လွန္ေရးဖန္တီးမႈတစ္ရပ္လည္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ အႏုပညာသမားရဲ႕ ရင္ထဲက ခံစားရတဲ့ခံစားမႈ အတိုင္း၊ မ်က္လံုးထဲကျမင္ရတဲ့ အျမင္မ်ားအတိုင္း ခံစားခ်က္ကို သ႐ုပ္ေဖာ္ တင္ဆက္ျခင္းလည္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ခံစားမႈကို ေငြေၾကးနဲ႔အဆံုးအျဖတ္ေပးလို႔မရ၊ အေရာင္းအ၀ယ္ျပဳလုပ္လို႔မရေၾကာင္းကို Performance Art က ေဖာ္ျပတာလည္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
Myanmar official performance art show which celebrated in 1996/97 is called One Man Show by Sayar Po Po. After that Sayar Htein Lin, Sayar Aung Myint, Sayar Nyein Chan Su, Sayar Aye aslo started the performance art. Nowadays there are so many performance artists in Myanmar. However, only a few artist walk straight on this career. Sayar Po Po, Sayar Htein Lin, Sayar Aung Myint are the high top three who we can search on the Google website.
ျမန္မာျပည္မွာ Official အေနနဲ႔ေျပာလို႔ရႏိုင္တဲ့ Performance Art Show ကေတာ့ ဆရာပိုပိုရဲ႕ ၁၉၉၆/၉၇ မွာလုပ္ခဲ့တဲ့ One Man Show လို႔ေျပာၾကပါတယ္။ အဲဒီေနာက္ပိုင္းမွာေတာ့ ဆရာထိန္လင္း၊ ဆရာေအာင္ျမင့္၊ ဆရာၿငိမ္းခ်မ္းစု၊ ဆရာေအးကို တို႔ကလည္း Performance Art ကို တင္ဆက္စျပဳလာခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ယခုလက္ရိွမွာဆိုရင္ ျမန္မာျပည္မွာ Performance Artist ေတြ ေျမာက္ျမားစြာရိွလို႔ေနပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ Performance Art ကို တစ္စိတ္မတ္မတ္ယံုၾကည္စြာနဲ႔ ေလွ်ာက္လွမ္းေနသူေတြကေတာ့ ရွားပါးပါတယ္။ Google မွာတက္ရွာၾကည့္မယ္ဆိုရင္ေတာ့ ဆရာပိုပို၊ ဆရာထိန္လင္းနဲ႔ ဆရာေအာင္ျမင့္တို႔ ၃ ေယာက္ကို ထိပ္ဆံုးမွာျပထားတာေတြ႕ရပါမယ္။

၁၉၉၀ ၀န္းက်င္ေလာက္ကတည္းက Performance Art ေတြ ထြန္းကားပ်ံ႕ပြားလာေစဖို႔အတြက္ Artist ေတြက ႀကိဳးစားလာခဲ့ၾကတာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ဒီလိုနဲ႔ ၂၀၀၅ ခုႏွစ္မွာ Performance Festival ကို ျပဳလုပ္လာႏိုင္ခဲ့သလို၊ ယခုၿပီးခဲ့တဲ့ ၂၀၁၈ ဒီဇင္ဘာ ၅ ကေန ၈ အထိ Goethe Institute နဲ႔ New Zero Art Space တို႔ဦးေဆာင္ျပဳလုပ္တဲ့ International Performance Art Festival 2018 ကို ျပဳလုပ္ႏိုင္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။
