If you’re looking for a new travel destination for the future, you might want to add the El Camino del Anillo to that list. Located near Madrid in the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range, the walking trail, also known as Ring Road, is 122 km long and takes a week to complete. Divided into eight sections, the trail takes you through various landscapes reminiscent of many of Lord of the Rings most famous locations, including the Elven town of Rivendell and The White Tree of Gondor. The trail itself was developed over five years by the Laudato Si Foundation, aimed at reviving tourism in the area.
